A Study was an exhibition composed of off-prints, unused images, and responses to the process of making Studies for Studies at Women’s Studio Workshop. It also included offprints from Tona Wilson’s book Dress Code Strictly Enforced, which she was printing in the studio whilst I was working on Studies for Studies.

The things I loved most about working at WSW were the accidental and unplanned interactions between my work and the work of the other artists, the interventions that failure and mistakes made in my images via print, and the process of print-making as a thinking process. The exhibition was an opportunity to explore those things. I endeavoured to make a ‘shadow’ image for each of the images in the book. The wall piece was a distorted version of one of the isometric drawings made at the start of the project.
